A Series of life Chapters

Title: “Untold Story (Ankahin baate)”

I saw a cycle more than just a form of transport. It is the daily bread for a person working in cycle repair shop and it is like a part of his family. When I looked at the cycle I could also imagine the stories of the struggle of its owner. That one old abandoned cycle in a backyard is the symbol of a glorious journey of a businessman with million dollar cars that once started on that cycle.

Parivaar

The family is one of nature’s masterpieces. My bond with my family is deep down surreal. I get very few moments of leisure to spare with my own people, but when I do, I find peace and I slip into the space of admiration for them.

The M.F.Hussain

In this piece, I portrayed the great Hussain’s everlasting search for his mother. M.F. Hussain has painted shapeless forms of his mother in a number of paintings. He longed to get motherly love, which he was deprived of throughout his life.

Baat - chitt

Friendship and conversation with friends are like a thread with which we knit fine visions of past, present and future.

Dheemi gati
Dheemi gati

Since the very beginning of this journey I have been observing that each individual of us has their own pace and flow of life. Back then I thought of it as a very common pattern of living. Now in the times of the Corona pandemic, I observed that the people whose pace of life was dragged by working and earning daily, is highly disrupted. I observed and tried to relate and combine the two forms of speed- Middle class families and Snail. I felt like this is the best example to show the track of life of a commoner.

Title: “Dhimee gati (slow speed of life)”

Ibaadat
Ibaadat

We look for God in the bad and in the good times. We know that God does not have a face but we strongly believe that Ibaadat (prayer) is the only way we can connect to God and that is why we have many different ways of prayer as per our faith.

Bhai-chara
bhai - chara

Bhaichara is an adverb which means Brotherhood in India but here it literally means Brother(Bhai) and food for cattle(Chara). I have shown here the gesture of brotherhood between the man and the cow but sarcastically it also seems as if the cow is asking for food "Oo bhai...chara?”

Mother is everything.

Khushiyan- “Jo na de saki koi Audi ya Jaguar jesi gaadi, Jo dekhi sirf ek chote se tempo mein.”
In our daily hustle we come across so many people but we barely even look at them or talk. But whenever we travel through a public transport, we usually have this feeling of oneness with them. We connect and share about life, our day and our experiences with them as we do with our family. I have inspired from and portrayed this strange pattern of human behaviour in my artwork.

Balance of life
Balance of life

In this painting of mine, Identified the element of balance with two different perspectives that are not apparent. The girl in my illustration is providing entertainment to balance her life while her audience are the one who are balancing their lives so that they remain entertained.
