The Terracool project is a revolutionary series of modular panel rods ingeniously crafted from terracotta beads. Designed to offer an eco-conscious cooling solution, it's as Modern as it is sustainable.
Design a modular solution using terracotta for residential spaces to reduce heat by additionally adding water to create a natural cooler and maintain comfortable interior temperature while also providing improved privacy.

Terracotta
Terracotta's cooling magic lies in its ability to absorb and dissipate heat through micro-pores. These tiny openings trap warmth during the day, releasing it gradually, creating a natural cooling effect. Fired terracotta's porous structure enables water penetration, initiating surface evaporation. This process cools ambient air, harnessing natural principles to create a refreshing environment.

Conecept
Modularity in the Terracotta Curtain is achieved through the use of standardized terracotta beads and a flexible installation system, allowing for easy assembly and customization to fit various architectural requirements.
Modularity Concept
This assembly has five main components. A main vertical metal bar with closed loop at ends. Jute string, wrapped all around the rod. Terracotta beads. Horizontal top and bottom bar. It is highly customizable, sturdy and convenient to install.
Bead Forms
The bead forms were designed with two distinct approaches. Firstly, a cylindrical shape, prioritizing ease of production for traditional potters; secondly, an artistic form inspired by the intricate patterns of chakli curtains, adding aesthetic appeal and variety to the design.
The Terracool Project
The Terracotta Curtain utilizes specially designed panels to block sunlight and promote natural ventilation, reducing reliance on energy-intensive cooling systems.
